WARM SPICED MILK
This warming and comforting drink is perfect in the evening before sleep. It is better to wait around 2 hours after dinner to enjoy this relaxing drink. The addition of nutmeg acts as a sedative and the cardamom helps with digesting dairy.
120ml organic milk (preferably raw or un-homogenised)
½ tsp ghee
1/8 tsp each cardamom & cinnamon, plus pinch nutmeg
1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
Warm the ghee & spices in a pan before adding the milk. Continue to warm gently until just before boiling. Turn off the heat & add the maple syrup if desired.
COOLING ROSE & HIBISCUS TEA
When temperatures are rising either internally or externally this rose and hibiscus tea is the ideal remedy to cool you down.
Simply brew a teaspoon each of rose and hibiscus petals (preferably organic) in freshly boiled water for 5 - 10 minutes.
Add a dash of honey or maple syrup if preferred.
Sip and enjoy its cooling properties!
